- We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Position: Childcare and Recreation Specialist The Childcare and Recreation Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of childcare and recreation activities, classroom operations and programming appropriate for the client population.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree and one year of relevant experience with a similar population or high school diploma or GED with at least two years relevant experience. Candidates with related experience with domestic violence preferred. Childcare and Recreation Specialist Principal Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, publicize, implement, and facilitate support groups, recreational activities, special events and holiday programs. Update and post printed materials and encourage client participation. Assist in the development and implementation of new programs aimed at enhancing clients motivation through socialization and the development of leisure time skills. Coordinate programs with Case Managers to facilitate success of enrichment sessions. Develop contacts with various sources for off-site activities. Assist in preparing and submitting written and statistical reports. Assist in creating an instructional environment that fosters learning and growth. Assist in classroom activities on a daily basis. Help to evaluate the student progress on an ongoing basis, maintaining necessary records. Provide aftercare to clients in the program.
