Job Opportunity: Teacher for Special Needs Home Enrichment Program

About the Role

We’re seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated teacher to join our home enrichment program for children with special needs. Our program is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and you’ll have the chance to incorporate ABA techniques into personalized educational support and enrichment activities.

This position is ideal for a Certified Teacher with a background in education or a related field who’s eager to gain real-world experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging, tailored enrichment activities rooted in ABA principles to support the child’s unique learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and structured environment.
  • Daily support and supervision by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collaborate with families to set and achieve developmental and educational goals.
  • Utilize ABA strategies to promote learning, communication, and social skills.
  • Maintain detailed notes on progress and adapt approaches as needed.
  • Mon-Fri 8a-2p provide classroom instruction and educational support to students
  • Mon-Fri 2p-4p complete lesson planning and/or provide ABA services as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree specifically in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education (ESE), or Curriculum & Instruction.
  • Must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within the first 60 days of hire (we provide training)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of instructional experience in a Florida classroom, structured homeschool setting, or working 1-on-1 with neurodivergent learners.
  • Experience completing ISP (Individualized Support Plan) with the supervision of a BCBA

  • Ratios:
  • Work with a 1: 3 student ratio rather than a crowded public school classroom. We also provide a classroom Assistant to help with daily tasks and managing the classroom.
  • A passion for working with children with special needs and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with ABA principles is a plus but not required—training will be provided!
  • Salary range: 50K -55K
