Position Summary

Temporary, part-time adjunct faculty in Humanities and Social Sciences. Disciplines accepting new hiring pool applications are: Africana Studies; Economics (on campus only), Gender Studies; and Sociology. Applicants must specify discipline(s) in cover letter. Online teaching opportunities may be available in some of the above-mentioned disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or equivalent in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach. Commitment to quality instruction at the college level is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach. Past record of successful college-level teaching experience in the discipline of employment. For online teaching, one or more semesters’ worth of online teaching experience. Experience using the Canvas platform and with courses that have received Quality Matters approval is advantageous.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
