Job description

  • Full Time live-out Nanny required for a UES family with an infant son (b.
  • Apr 2026), starting early September 2026.
  • Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general you will provide nurturing + proactive childcare in a warm and happy home.
  • The family is looking for a long term commitment with a nanny who will care for their son in an engaging, loving and age-appropriate way and will feel like a natural extension of their family.
  • To be successful, you will need to be experienced with infant care, compassionate, patient and looking to partner with parents who value good communication.
  • The ideal candidate is able to complete light, child related housekeeping duties (laundry, meal preparation, organization, etc) and maintain all common areas in a clean and tidy state.
  • Candidates looking for a team oriented dynamic with first time parents would be a great match for this family!
  • An articulate, hands on and experienced nanny with education or equivalent practical knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development is key to this role.

  • Friday: guaranteed 40 hours a week with general hours expected to land between 8.30am - 5.30pm. Flexibility as needed for additional hours is required. No immediate travel expected.

  • (paid as a W2 employee) plus unlimited monthly metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and at least two weeks paid leave per year. Family open to providing healthcare stipend for the perfect candidate. *dependent on experience
  • For further consideration, applicants must possess the following: Authorization to work in the US An ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years experience working with families with young children A well-suited demeanor + recent experience working with infants and eventual toddlers Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and high emotional intelligence Experience in partnering + supporting first time parents with infant and toddler milestones A flexible schedule and ability/interest to support a busy, dual working parent household Able to navigate internal stairs in apartment Fluent in both written and spoken English
