In Fall 2026 ECED 40305 Guidance and Assessment: Supporting All Children
This course addresses the complexities of addressing individual student needs within the larger classroom setting. Strategies specific to guidance and assessment are examined to meet social/emotional and cognitive development needs and set the foundation for positive experiences in school.
And: In Spring 2027 ECED 30202 Math & Science in the Early Years
Instructional psychology and materials for effective teaching mathematics and science in preschool and early primary settings with a theoretical emphasis on cognitive development.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in education; Early Childhood
- 4 years' experience teaching in grades K-3
- Ohio Elementary Teaching Licensure is a plus.
- Prior experience teaching at the University level is preferred
- Ability to Pass BCI/FBI Background check
- Availability to teach in-person on the Salem campus of KSU.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
