About the role

The BCBA provides program oversight, conducts behavioral assessments, and develops individualized treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They are also responsible for supervising and training Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs) and providing ongoing support and coaching to families.

Position Summary

Identify, provide and create opportunities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Registered Behavior Therapists (RBT) and other team members to provide high quality ABA and therapeutic services. Provide parent support and coaching to families in the ABA program, and actively engage in routine parent meeting sessions as part of treatment collaboration.

Requirements

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Masters degree or above
  • Licensed in the state of Missouri
  • Current Certification
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Experience working with families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CPR certification
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience working with pediatric population
  • Valid Driver’s License & Evidence of Insurability
  • Collaborative team member

  • Professional and works with integrity
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time on your feet as well as an ability to lift items up to 25 lbs on occasion

Responsibilities

  • Provides program oversight for patients
  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments as required by funding sources, and as needed based on data analyses
  • Develop behavior intervention plans and individual treatment plans/programming; revise as required by funding sources, and as needed based on data analyses
  • Complete initial evaluations for potential patients
  • Maintain appropriate caseload
  • Attend monthly team meeting for collaboration and case review
  • Provide training and supervision to RBTs
  • Completes RBT competency assessments
  • Responsible for continued competence and professional growth of RBTs consisting of observation and providing written feedback, supervision meetings, and additional training as needed.
  • Ensures supervision hours of RBTs meet the requirements of the BACB
  • Build and maintain positive family/caregiver relationships throughout the lifecycle (course of treatment) of the patient
  • Completes regularly scheduled parent trainings
  • Meet with the parents/caregivers to review progress and collaborate on development of individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (i.e., at start of services, prior to authorization request)
