Job description

  • Substitute Teacher Opportunities for the 2026–27 School Year Effective August 1, 2026, Dawson School—a K-12 independent school located just east of Boulder—is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers for the 2026–27 academic year.
  • Substitute Teachers at Dawson play a vital role in supporting student learning by stepping in for regular classroom teachers on a short-term basis.
  • In most cases, substitutes will follow the established lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure continuity in instruction.

  • Follow lesson plans and instructions designed by the absent teacher

  • Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

This temporary position offers an hourly wage of $22.00, with a minimum guarantee of three hours of pay for each day worked. While the position is not benefits-eligible, lunch is provided at no cost. Substitute teaching opportunities are available on an ongoing basis throughout the school year.
