Position Summary
Under the direction of the Head Coach of the rowing team, the Technical Specialist – Assistant Coach will be expected to assist in the implementation of performance and development initiatives and other related functions that will help ensure the success of the rowing student-athletes. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain and distribute team equipment including boats, ores, etc. Prepare practice and training equipment ahead of start times Record activities and keep track of statistics during competitions and performances. Analyze data to help identify trends of race/team/student-athlete activity/competency during and after regattas. Prepares reports to present to head coach. Support coaching staff in the implementation of practice and race strategies. Assist with the delivery of the 2026 CURA's at the Olympic Basin. Assist with additional administrative tasks as required. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Knowledge or previous practical experience of the sport of rowing required Level II NCCP certification or equivalent required Prior coaching experience at an elite/competitive level required Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organized, evaluation and planning skills, team oriented, Strong desire and dedication to the development of the student athletes Willingness to accept flexible working hours which may included early mornings and/or weekends. This may depend on time of the season. CPR and First Aid certifications highly recommended Bilingual in English and French Selected candidates must successfully pass their criminal background check. Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience Hourly Salary: (AMUSE C) $17.17 Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 10 (Part time) Position Start Date: 2026-08-15 Position End Date: 2026-11-30 Deadline to Apply: 2026-06-23 This position is covered by the AMUSE collective agreement.
