Teachers are responsible for developing and executing standards-aligned curricula and delivering rigorous instruction to K-5 students. They must analyze student achievement data and collaborate with administration to continuously improve instructional practices.
Teachers are entrusted with advancing the mission of Memphis Business Academy. Reporting to the Principal and various network administrators, teachers are responsible for the development and execution of a standards-aligned curriculum, continuous improvement of their instructional practices based on feedback, support, and adequate intellectual preparation on their part, and collaboration on areas of instructional and/or curricular need at the school. Teachers will be held accountable by the Principal, Chief Academic Officers and other network administrators in regard to their performance and growth, student achievement, and quality of delivery of instruction.
Education and certification: · Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree (preferred)
· Tennessee Professional Educator License (preferred)
· Eligibility for Tennessee Professional Educator License (required)
· Content area certification (preferred)
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and be eligible for a Tennessee Professional Educator License. Preference is given to those with a master's degree, content area certification, and experience in urban education.
