- Description We are seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment services to pediatric clients in an outpatient setting.
- This position offers a consistent schedule of approximately 15-20 hours per week, with availability needed: Monday–Thursday: Starting at 2:00 PM or later Friday: Morning availability JOB SUMMARY The physical therapist is a member of the interdisciplinary team whose focus is on the promotion of optimal health and functioning for the pediatric population.
- The physical therapist assesses the foundational motor skills required for enhanced aerobic capacity, endurance, balance, strength, coordination, timing, and functional mobility of the pediatric client.
- The physical therapist customizes unique and individual interventions for the establishment, remediation, or restoration of functional mobility and health.
- They identify the need for environmental adaptations, adaptive equipment and orthotics for the promotion of safety and function in the home and community.
- The part-time Physical Therapist provides high-quality pediatric physical therapy services on a reduced schedule while maintaining the same standards of clinical excellence, documentation, communication and client-centered care as a full-time staff.

As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with our providers to provide the highest level of care to our clients.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Evaluate clients with standardized testing materials, client report, parental/guardian report, teacher report, and clinical observations to determine current level of function, areas of impairment, strengths, and developmental age appropriateness.
- Create individualized plan of care that is client centered, functional, and measurable Customize individualized therapeutic sessions for the achievement of the current treatment plan in individual sessions.
- Complete accurate billing for all services provided in accordance to Leg Up Farm policy.
- Track and document client progression towards established goals in accordance to Leg Up Farm and state policy.
- Communicate client progression with parent/guardian, interdisciplinary team, and primary care physician in compliance with Leg Up Farm and state policy.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to cross cultural issues.
- Review and update treatment plan on a regular basis in accordance to Leg Up Farm and state policy.
- May assist with supervision clinical interns in physical therapy as assigned and in accordance with Leg Up Farm and state policy.
- Ensure that sessions start and end on time.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas in clinical and office spaces.
- Report incidents and completes Leg Up Farm documentation to supervisor.
- Report any incidents of mandated reporting to appropriate channels.
- Report supply needs to Therapy Director.
- Follow the guidelines of universal precautions and good work ergonomics.
- Participate in required staff meetings, department meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as scheduled.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care and client outcomes.
- Completion of clear and thorough Physical Therapy evaluations for outpatient services.
- Completion of clear, functional, measurable, and client focused Physical Therapy goals in the treatment plans.
- Completion of clear, functional, and client focused home exercise/activity programs.
- Completion of letters of medical necessity.
- Completion of daily session notes in compliance with Leg Up Farm Policy for outpatient services.
- Completion of daily documentation for educational services.
- Completion of clear and thorough discharge summaries in compliance with Leg Up Farm policy.
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Required: Master’s or Higher in Physical Therapy from a therapy program accredited from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). PA State Physical Therapy License Mandated Reporting and Child Abuse Training First Aid & CPR/AED Certification Current State Child Abuse History Clearance Current State Police Record Check Current Federal Criminal History Background Check (FBI Fingerprinting) Compliance with Drug Testing & Satisfactory Drug Testing Results. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this position, we have a Zero Tolerance Drug Policy in place. Knowledge of scope of practice of a PA State Licensed Physical Therapist Knowledge of adaptive equipment recommendations and orthotics recommendations.
Preferred
1-2 years of pediatric or outpatient therapy experience preferred, strong new graduates will be considered.
