Job description

The Fullbright FLTA Program at Ursinus College is designed to develop the student’s knowledge of foreign cultures and languages and exposes students to a true understanding of people of different nations.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Teaching Assistant to professors in their language who will oversee their work.
May be asked to do some independent teaching upon training with professor.
In consultation with direct supervisor, TA’s will prepare lesson plans that are level-appropriate, covering topics such as everyday life, politics, art, classical and popular music, customs, and education.
Will give informal presentations or organize campus events about their culture.
Assist with other activities such as the International Film Festival, the International Language Day, Honors Society celebration and collaborate with other constituents on campus.
Hold conversation classes, activities such as language table, language club and organized events.
Will participate at Ursinus’s APEX (Applied. Professional. Experiential) initiative to share relevant insights and skills.
May involve teaching and assisting all levels of classes.
