Paraprofessional – St. Louis, MO

Hourly Rate: $18-$19

Shift

  • Monday -
  • Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

  • What you will bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 60 hours college credits OR Passed the ParaPro assessment before 9/23 through Pearson 9/23 – 6/20/24; though ETS 7/1/24 – 6/30/26; after 7/1/26 – Parapathways assessment through ET OR 20 HR substitute certificate course
  • Valid Missouri Driver’s license.
  • Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.
  • What you will do
  • Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
  • Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
  • Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
  • Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • What we prefer
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Classroom setting experience.
