One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe, developmentally appropriate early care and education environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical skill development of infant, toddler, and preschool children.Every day you will develop and implement curriculum and daily lesson plans tailored for early childhood education classrooms.

You will also build collaborative relationships with parents and families, and meticulously complete all necessary documentation for the evaluation and management of early childhood education programs.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional expertise in early childhood education, a proven ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments, and strong collaborative skills for working with parents and managing program documentation.

The California Hospital Medial Center Early Care and Education programs provide early care and education services for infants toddlers and pre-school children.

Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday.

Duties include: Prepares classroom setting; Maintains safety and educational programs; supervises children in the classroom, outdoor play periods and nap time; Provides a supportive environment in which children can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors in compliance with licensing regulations.

Organizes and prepares developmentally appropriate early childhood education programs; Plans and implements curriculum and education for children ranging in age from six weeks to five years old.

Provides activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, language, problem solving, and physical skills appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.

Job Requirements Required Associate of Arts in Child Development Meet minimum qualifications as per Title 22 and Title 5 regulations to include the core units of child or human growth & development, child, family & community coursework Experience providing child development services to low income families and families from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds., Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days First Aid, within 90 Days Fire Safety, within 90 Preferred At least 24 semesters units in ECE, including 3 units related to the care of infants.

Experience working in an early childhood environment and/or educational institution/school

Requirements

Requires an Associate of Arts in Child Development and compliance with Title 22 and Title 5 regulations. Candidates must have experience working with diverse, low-income families and obtain CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety certifications.
