Instruct undergraduate students in evidence-based literacy acquisition and Structured Literacy methodologies. Ensure curriculum alignment with the Kansas Blueprint for Literacy and fulfill expectations for teaching, scholarship, and service.
Requires a Master's degree in reading or literacy education and at least three years of full-time public-school teaching experience in the US. A doctoral degree or ABD status is preferred for tenure-track consideration.
Education and Experience
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in reading, literacy education or related field. This degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
