The instructor is responsible for creating and implementing high-level yoga and fitness routines for the community. They must ensure a safe, professional, and constructive environment for all participants.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and current CPR and First Aid certifications. A nationally recognized 200- or 500-hour yoga certification is required.
The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for presenting a positive and competent image of the Old Colony Y through quality fitness programs designed to meet the needs of the community. Well-prepared, relevant, safe and effective programming will be taught in a professional manner, resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous service. The Group Fitness Instructor will be responsible for the creation and implementation of high level fitness routines that combine cutting edge trends with well-established basic choreography to ensure a safe, healthy and constructive environment for all participants.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR, First Aid and nationally recognized yoga certifications (200- or 500-hour)
Attend Principles of YMCA Health and Fitness Workshops when offered
