Deliver evidence-based substance abuse prevention programs to elementary students with fidelity. Maintain confidential records and report program data to supervisors and the WITNYS online system.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in counseling, health, or a related field, with a Master's degree or CPP credential preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in education, counseling, or health and wellness is preferred.
Pivot, a not-for-profit agency dedicated to improving the health of youth and families across the lifespan in our community through prevention, education, counseling, and advocacy, is seeking a full-time Prevention Educator for the Watertown City School District. This position involves presenting the evidence-based substance abuse prevention program, Committee For Children's Second Step, to elementary grade students.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, health, or related discipline with a Master’s Degree, NYS Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) preferred.
Applicants should possess excellent presentation skills, as well as displaying an active interest in preventing youth substance abuse. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build relationships, and lead social/emotional sessions.
