The BCBA provides ABA assessments and clinical services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders while designing individualized service plans. They are also responsible for supervising behavior technicians and providing training to caregivers and families.
Requires a Master's degree in behavior analysis or a related field and BCBA certification or professional licensure. Candidates must have at least three years of experience serving individuals with ASD and experience in staff supervision.
Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measure Provides 1:1 behavior intervention services in the clinic for children with autism spectrum disorder and their families Develops individualized goals and objectives for center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives Teaches behavior technicians on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with behavior technicians Meets regularly with Director of Pediatric ABA Services and notifies her/him immediately of issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by the Director of Pediatric ABA Services Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to VIA policy and state and federal regulation Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner Additional Functions
Actively communicates VIA’s outreach efforts to community Participates in professional meetings or conferences deemed to be beneficial to VIA’s development Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of VIA Position Type This is a full-time position. This position involves working with clients who exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behavior.
Master’s in behavior analysis, BCBA Supervisory, Psychology, special education, social work, speech language pathology, or related field required BCBA certification and/or licensed professional At least three years’ experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities At least three years’ experience working as an outreach consultant/in-home therapist in the autism or developmental disability field Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these services Experience with staff training and supervision Must be proficient with DTT, ABA Program/Goal Development, ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills Acquisition Procedures, and Staff Training Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multi-task Must be able to work well as part of a team
