The School Nurse promotes the health and well-being of students and staff through clinical care, health assessments, and the management of chronic conditions. They also coordinate care between families and providers while ensuring compliance with health regulations and emergency preparedness.
Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current CPR/BLS certification, with a BSN preferred. Previous experience in pediatric or community nursing is highly desirable, along with the physical ability to assist students and handle up to 50 pounds.
The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of students and staff within the school environment. This role provides essential nursing services, including health assessments, first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic conditions, while also serving as a critical liaison between families, healthcare providers, and school personnel.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Certification in Pediatric Nursing or School Nursing is a plus. Current CPR/BLS certification; additional certifications in First Aid and AED usage preferred.
