The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses for Longwood University student-athletes. This includes providing medical coverage during practices and events while coordinating care with team physicians and coaches.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a CAATE accredited program, be BOC certified, and be eligible for Virginia State Licensure. Professional rescuer certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED is required, with a Master's degree and college experience preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the team physician and the Head Athletic Trainer within guidelines set forth by the NATA, NCAA, and the Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure the health and welfare of Longwood University intercollegiate athletes.
