The coach is responsible for recruiting a full team, leading practices, and coaching the varsity girls basketball team to a competitive record. Additionally, they must ensure players remain academically eligible and provide tutoring and offseason training.
Candidates must have previous successful coaching experience, knowledge of MHSAA rules, and CPR/First Aid certification. A valid Michigan Teacher Certificate and a successful NCAA athletic career are preferred.

In the pursuit of our mission, we are hiring athletic coaches. These individual will be responsible for supporting their team(s) success, including in the classroom. In particular, the coach will be expected to recruit a full team, coach their team to a competitive record, and ensure their team is academically successful for the whole season. They will also be encouraged to provide offseason training opportunities and expected to lead in-season tutoring, in accordance with MHSAA policies. \n

Job Responsibilities Lead and support your team(s) throughout the entire season Recruit a full team of players by the first day of the season, including running competitive tryouts if necessary Coach your team(s) to a winning record, with the goal of reaching and excelling in postseason play Ensure all your players are academically eligible and successful throughout the entire season Organize and communicate consistent practice and competitive game schedules in collaboration with the Athletic Director Maintain and distribute team equipment and jerseys at the beginning and end of the season Organize and operate offseason conditioning, training, and clinics for both team members and community members Abide by all MHSAA policies and regulations Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
