About the role

The Classroom Aide supports the lead teacher in delivering instruction and maintaining a structured, inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one student support, monitoring behavior, and supervising students during transitions and breaks.

Job summary

The Classroom Aide at Annunziata Learning Center supports the lead teacher in providing a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. This role assists with instructional delivery, reinforces academic and behavioral expectations, and helps meet the individual needs of students, including those requiring additional academic or social-emotional support.

  • Job responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher with implementing lessons and reinforcing key academic concepts
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students
  • Support students with special needs, including accommodations and individualized learning plans
  • Monitor student behavior and promote positive social interactions
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess
  • Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment
  • Assist with classroom management and daily routines
  • Communicate student progress and concerns with teachers and staff
  • Follow school policies and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Job qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or coursework in education or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
  • Basic understanding of child development and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to support students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
