The Learning Experience in Astoria is seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment that supports the rapid growth and development of toddlers.
We are looking for a teacher who understands toddler behavior, can confidently guide routines, and brings patience, consistency, and strong classroom leadership every day.
Lead a toddler classroom and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with center standards Support toddlers’ cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development Establish and maintain consistent daily routines (meals, naps, transitions, activities) Maintain strong, professional communication with families Follow all DOH Article 47 regulations and center policies Supervise and guide assistant teachers within the classroom Maintain accurate daily reports and classroom documentation
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a daycare center (toddler experience required) Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education REQUIRED Strong understanding of toddler development and behavior Ability to manage routines, transitions, and age-appropriate expectations Reliable, punctual, and professional Warm, patient, and consistent demeanor Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Must meet all state requirements (medical, background check, fingerprinting) What We’re Looking For:
