Deliver on-campus nursing instruction across classrooms, simulation labs, and clinical settings while preparing learning materials and evaluating students. Participate in curriculum development, program improvement, and provide academic advising and mentoring to students.

Job Description

Primary Duties

  • Teaching & Instruction
  • Deliver on‑campus instruction in classroom, simulation, skills lab, and clinical settings.
  • Prepare learning materials, evaluate students, assign grades.
  • Revise course materials as needed.
  • Mentor part‑time faculty, clinical instructors, or teaching assistants.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program improvement.
  • Student Support & Service
  • Provide advising, office hours, and mentoring.
  • Participate in committees and school initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and outreach activities.

Ancillary Duties

Attend ceremonies, recruitment events, and professional development activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's of Science in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with Doctoral degree in Nursing
  • Unrestricted RN license in Colorado or eligibility for compact licensure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of social determinants of health.
  • Teaching experience in didactic, clinical, simulation, or skills-based instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field (Ph.D., DNP, or Ed.D.), not honorary
  • Clinical practice background in specialty areas.
  • Experience teaching BSN or graduate nursing students.
  • Experience with curriculum and accreditation processes.
  • Experience mentoring in capstone, clinical, or skills‑based learning.

Requirements
