Provide speech and language services to students aged 3-22 in a therapeutic day school setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver AAC and functional communication interventions within a classroom-based model.
Requires Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathology licensure and DESE certification. Candidates must be able to support students with diverse diagnoses including ASD and Down Syndrome.
Start Date: August 31, 2026 End Date: June 16, 2027 Schedule: Approximately 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Hours: 35 hours per week Employment Type: Full-time Work Setting: Onsite Caseload & Responsibilities Provide speech and language services to students ages 3–22 Support students with a variety of diagnoses, including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Down Syndrome Genetic disorders and other developmental disabilities Deliver therapy focused on: AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Assistive technology Language-based intervention Functional communication development Caseloads are typically organized by classroom SLPs generally support 3–4 classrooms Each classroom contains approximately 4–8 students Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoring Required Qualifications Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathology licensure requirements (Mass.gov) DESE certification/licensure Compensation $64,000 – $80,000 annual salary (based on experience) Why This Role Stands Out Work with a diverse population of students ages 3–22 Extensive experience with AAC devices, assistive technology, and complex communication needs Join a team of three experienced SLPs who provide mentorship, collaboration, and support Classroom-based service model that promotes strong relationships with students and staff Meaningful opportunity to support students with a variety of developmental and communication needs in a therapeutic setting This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about AAC, assistive technology, and supporting students with complex communication needs while working within a highly collaborative therapeutic school environment.
