Lifesteps is hiring a Part-Time Medical Assistant to work with the Early Head Start Program in Beaver Falls, PA as a health educator.

The Medical Assistant / Health Educator will provide health education, in a home-based or office setting, to families with young children and/or families that are expecting a child. The MA will work closely with the Home Visitor staff on case management and also provide training as needed. The Health Educator reviews child health assessments, conducts health and welfare recommendations and referrals, conducts prenatal and post-natal wellness checks. The MA / Health Educator assures compliance with health components of the “Head Start Performance Standards” and “Head Start Act” documentation.
00am to 4:30pm. No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays! (Other days of the week can be considered, but would need to work 3 days per week.) Total of 24 hours worked weekly.
High School Diploma or GED AND prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nurses Aide / Nursing Assistant.
experience in public health, nursing, health education, maternal and child health, or health administration may be considered.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must possess a valid driver's license which legally permits operating an Agency Vehicle in Pennsylvania
Proof of automobile insurance coverage
Lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Medical Assisting (MA or CMA or RMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
