The School Health Nurse supports student well-being by assessing health, managing chronic conditions, and developing individualized care plans. They also act as a liaison between families and healthcare systems while promoting wellness and healthy habits.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid Indiana RN license. Three or more years of nursing experience, preferably in a school setting, is desired.

As a School Health Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in supporting student well-being and academic success by identifying and addressing health-related barriers to learning. You will assess student health, develop and implement individualized care plans, promote wellness, and act as a liaison between families, schools, and the healthcare system. What You’ll Do: Provide health assessments, develop health plans, and manage chronic conditions Participate in IEP development as the health team specialist Offer crisis intervention for illness, injury, and emotional concerns Monitor and help control communicable diseases Educate students and staff on wellness and healthy habits Serve as a community resource and promote health careers What You’ll Need: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN preferred) Valid RN license in Indiana 3+ years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in a school setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Be a part of a mission-driven team where compassion and care come first.
