The instructor will design, implement, and evaluate the nursing curriculum while providing didactic and clinical instruction. Responsibilities also include academic advisement, student evaluation, and contributing to program review and policy development.
Candidates must hold a BSN and a Master's degree in Nursing, along with a current Virginia RN license. A minimum of five years of direct client care experience as a registered nurse is required.

Radford University's College of Nursing invites applicants for a faculty position within our Department of Undergraduate Nursing. The Department of Undergraduate Nursing at Radford University prepares students for dynamic healthcare careers through evidence-based education and hands-on clinical experiences.
Special purpose faculty positions provide special functions such as didactic instruction, clinical supervision, lab instruction, or internship supervision. Special purpose faculty hold continuing, full-time appointments, subject to reappointment every 1-3 years, without eligibility for tenure. Such appointments carry rank with opportunity for promotion and carry full benefits except during cases of certain leaves.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Good understanding of educational principles and methodologies. Ability to demonstrate psychomotor skills effectively while explaining steps to learning.
Preference will be given to those with the education, experience, certification and desire to teach in the prelicensure program. Recent clinical experience desired. Prior teaching experience in the classroom and clinical practice setting is preferred.
