Training Specialist

• Description Skills of Central PA is seeking a full time Training Specialist and will be based in Lewistown, Pa.
• This position is responsible for implementing the organization’s training program ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding training.
• The Training Specialist will work with new employees to teach them the skills and knowledge they will need to work in our programs/facilities.
• The Training Specialist will be required to become trainers in: First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, Ukeru.
• The Training Specialist is also an administrator of Skills of Central PA's Learning Management System.

This position will typically work Monday through Friday 8am-4pm with some flexibility required. Moderate travel and willingness to work non-traditional hours on occasion are required.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications and Media, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Human Resources, or other related field is preferred. 1 – 3 years of experience in the human services field is required. A strong training skill set is necessary, including: Requires knowledge of commonly used concepts of adult learning. The ability to train others to deliver training using a variety of acceptable training methods and techniques. The ability to develop curriculum, learning objectives, and/or course materials for adult learners. The ability to deal with people in a manner which is trauma-informed and shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Applicants must be highly proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. PA driver’s license required. Pre-employment physical and drug screening required. Moderate travel and willingness to work non-traditional hours on occasion are required.
