Assist the Head Coach with softball team operations, including recruiting, training student-athletes, and managing game preparation. Support student-athlete academic success and handle program logistics and facility maintenance.
Requires a high school diploma, verifiable softball coaching experience, and a valid driver's license with a requirement to obtain a CDL by August 2026. A bachelor's degree and prior college-level coaching are preferred.
Comply with applicable rules and regulations of the NJCAA and Region II as they relate to the softball program. Assist the Head Softball Coach with student-athlete recruitment activities for the softball team including, but not limited to, tracking the admissions and eligibility process involving recruited student-athletes. Encourage academic success, retention, and graduation of student-athletes. Assist the Head Coach in monitoring and supporting the student-athletes’ academic progress through monitoring study hall hours, obtaining feedback from faculty members, and promoting graduation. Maintain equipment and facilities related to the softball program. Assist with the management and administration of an effective and efficient softball program. Responsible for all aspects of practice and game preparation as directed by Head Coach, including, but not limited to, individual player improvement and game organization. Assist in the recruitment of players by identifying and assessing talent, communicating with prospective recruits Responsible for building good relationships with players, faculty, staff, boosters, and the community, monitoring possible disciplinary situations, serving as a liaison between players and Head Coach. Assist with and coordinate travel for the entire program, including logistics for recruiting travel and team travel. Follow all college procurement policies and procedures. Assist with the management and administration of an effective and efficient softball program. Drive shuttle bus from residence hall to main campus as scheduled Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: High School diploma required Verifiable experience coaching softball Knowledge of all aspects of the game of softball Familiarity with college policies regarding athletics and NJCAA rules and regulations Valid driver’s license Must obtain CDL license with P endorsement by August 31, 2026
