YogaSix Downers Grove is seeking passionate, energetic, and experienced Yoga Teachers to lead energizing, empowering and fun yoga classes while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for members. Yoga Teachers are responsible for delivering high-quality classes aligned with the YogaSix methodology, inspiring members, and contributing to a positive studio culture. YogaSix focuses on making yoga accessible, empowering, and enjoyable for practitioners of all levels.
Essential Responsibilities Lead YogaSix class formats according to brand standards and programming.
Provide clear verbal instruction, demonstrations, and alignment cues.
Offer modifications and progressions to accommodate varying fitness and experience levels.
Create an inclusive, supportive, and judgment-free class environment.
Build relationships with members and foster a strong sense of community.
Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes and studio events.
Maintain current knowledge of YogaSix programming, teaching methodology, and continuing education requirements.
Assist with member retention through exceptional class experiences.
Support studio promotions, workshops, and community events as needed.
Ensure studio cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification (RYT-200) from a recognized training program. Current CPR/AED certification. Ability to teach safe and effective classes to participants of varying abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Passion for health, wellness, and community building. One or more years of yoga or group fitness instruction experience preferred. Ability to teach multiple class formats. Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate yoga postures and movement patterns. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously during classes. Capability to lift and move studio equipment up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in heated room environments when required.
