Teacher, Early Learning Seattle Preschool Program

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older. One (1) year or more of experience working in a classroom environment with children kindergarten aged and younger. Candidate must have an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or Child Development Associates Degree (CDA), or 20 hours of ECE college credits. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered. Current state approved first-aid certification.
• Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification.
• We require pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination. To make this process convenient for our new hires, we offer Concentra options at no cost to you. HIV/AIDS training certification.
• Completion of minimum STARS required training. *

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
