The Lead Teacher plans and leads engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including STEAM and academics. They are also responsible for program compliance, daily operational management, and maintaining communication with families via the Playground App.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Child Development, a relevant certificate, or specific college credits in Early Childhood Education and related fields. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and medical clearance are also required.
Description Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an energetic and passionate Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our Before & After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will support daily program operations, help create a safe, engaging, and positive experience for children, families, and staff.
Location: Monroeville Elementary School in Monroeville, OH
Part-time, non-exempt PAY: $15.00 per hour
Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have one of the following: Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate. Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development.
Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB). Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members. Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance. Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.
