POSITION OPENING Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach 26-27 School Year (Spring Season)
Successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school level. Alternate qualifications may be considered. Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Background that includes a high level of soccer knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of best practices in coaching. Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
Relate to and instruct student athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings. Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play. Work cooperatively with administration and staff. Encourage student participation in the sport. Instruct, coordinate, and direct all varsity assistant coaches, sub-coaches and head coaches 7th thru 12th grade, as applicable. Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction. Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement. Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills. Direct, construct a program and oversee the program as a whole. Work with other coaches by supporting and encouraging students to participate in other sports. Communicate with players, parents, and other coaches. Contribute to a professional learning team of varsity coaches. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
