Advancing Educational Justice for Refugee and Immigrant Youth Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS) is collecting applications for a Registered Nurse serving 6th-12th Grade who possess an unwavering commitment to the Fugees Family, Inc. mission and the willingness to go above & beyond to meet the needs of students, families, and staff.
Reporting to the School Leader, this is a 10-month, exempt position.
Our program begins with middle-school-level; however, our instructional scope begins with Kindergarten-level material.
Most Fugees Academy students begin middle school performing well below grade level.
Key Responsibilities Assess patient health problems, symptoms, needs, and overall condition.
Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
Administer nursing care to patients who are ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled.
Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by authorized healthcare providers.
Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to coordinate care.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
Follow established clinical procedures, safety standards, and infection-control protocols.
Support case management activities when appropriate.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards.
