Requires a master's degree or active progress toward one, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills. Knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws and experience in student-athlete support are preferred.
This full-time internship experience is designed to provide an individual the opportunity to grow and develop the necessary skills needed to advance their career into the field of student-athlete academic support. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Learning Assistance Program (LAP), the Assistant Learning Specialist will work with the LAP team to provide one-on-one support to student-athletes who have education-impacting disabilities or who are academically at-risk. This position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends
Pay Band: 4
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
21.25 per hour

up to 1,500 hours per year

Anticipated Start Date: Monday, August 10, 2026
Wednesday, May 19, 2027 No more than 40 hours/week and will not work during the following periods: November 23-27, 2026; December 22, 2023-January 1, 2027; March 6-14, 2027.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
