Provide one-on-one academic support to student-athletes who are academically at-risk or have education-impacting disabilities. Work collaboratively with the Learning Assistance Program team to help students advance their academic standing.
This full-time internship experience is designed to provide an individual the opportunity to grow and develop the necessary skills needed to advance their career into the field of student-athlete academic support. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Learning Assistance Program (LAP), the Assistant Learning Specialist will work with the LAP team to provide one-on-one support to student-athletes who have education-impacting disabilities or who are academically at-risk. This position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends
Required Qualifications
Completion of a related master's degree, active progress towards completing a master's degree, or an active plan to obtain a master's degree or possess an equivalent level of training and or experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to develop written reports.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in a time sensitive environment.
Pay Band: 4
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime

Wednesday, May 19, 2027 No more than 40 hours/week and will not work during the following periods: November 23-27, 2026; December 22, 2023-January 1, 2027; March 6-14, 2027.
