Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student access to curriculum and communication growth. Provide classroom based, small group, and individual intervention as appropriate to student need. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exercise sound professional judgment, especially in interactions with administration, colleagues, families, and students. Physical Requirements: Light Work: Exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited university required. Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. School based experience preferred. Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP compliance, and special education procedures required.
