PURPOSE The part time Athletic Trainer will assist in the organization, development, and coordination of the Life Pacific University sports medicine operations according to the goals and objectives of an NAIA intercollegiate athletic program at the local, regional, and national level. This position will help to manage the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of injuries for Life Pacific University student athletes. The Athletic Trainer reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer and demonstrates commitment towards academic integrity and the graduation of the student-athletes and towards student-athlete welfare as well as to the overall mission, philosophy and goals of the Athletics department and Life Pacific University.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NATABOC Certification required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required. Master’s Degree in a related field preferred but not required. CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications are required and must be attained by the start date (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or certifications for Professional Rescuers are mandatory). The ability to show initiative and work independently, while still working in conjunction with Athletics staff members. Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient organizational and computer skills. A strong Christian faith and worldview consistent with Life Pacific University’s Statement of Faith, which all employees are required to sign.
