Instruct swimming lessons and aquatics events for adults and children while evaluating swimming abilities to assign correct levels. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pool environment and promote aquatics programs to members.
Candidates must be working toward a high school diploma and possess StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications. Physical ability to swim 25 meters without stopping and lift at least 20 lbs is required.
As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will help both adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to our youngest members and evaluate their swimming ability to establish the correct swim level. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job
Instructs swimming lessons and Aquatics events Responds to member questions, comments, and concerns Provides a safe, clean and organized pool area Promotes and sells all Aquatics programs and services Minimum Required Qualifications Education: Working towards a High School Diploma or GED Years of Experience: Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs Licenses / Certifications / Registrations: StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience Pay This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.50 and pays up to $19.50, based on experience and qualifications.
