Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma and be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. Preference is given to those with one year of experience working with children under 13.
Description Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Summer Camp Program for the 2026 school year.
Location: Healthy Kids Early Learning Center at 21 Liberty Street in Monticello, NY
Part-time, Non-Exempt POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff PAY: $16.00 per hour Schedule: Summer: Monday–Friday, shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Potential to continue beyond summer with different hours
Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.
Key Responsibilities Support daily camp activities, including games, projects, special events, and themed arts & crafts. Create a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and engaged Ensure camper safety and follow all state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies Communicate daily with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations Support community outreach to promote the program and engage prospective families Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13. Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB. Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt. Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
