About the role

The Clinical Instructor is responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate didactic and clinical nursing courses. The role involves contributing to the teaching, scholarship, and service missions of the Department of Nursing and the University.

  • Duties: The Clinical Instructor is a 9-month full time faculty position responsible for developing and teaching undergraduate didactic and clinical courses while contributing to the teaching, scholarship, and service missions of the Department of Nursing, College, and University. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. The position reports to the Executive Director of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing in the College of Education and Health Professions. Requires an on campus presence Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Earned master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment An unencumbered Arkansas registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for State of Arkansas licensure Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills Indicators of abilities to engage in effective teaching Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty from backgrounds At least one year of teaching experience Eligible to hold an unencumbered RN license with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and secured by the first date of employment

Demonstrated ability to teach fundamental concepts in nursing, wellness, chronic and palliative, acute care, and leadership didactic and clinical education Professional clinical nursing experience
