Opportunities in Glendale, Pasadena, and Burbank! Part-Time On Call Daily Minimum: 6:30-7 a.m. (Mon – Fri) When staffed: 8am - 3pm, Mon - Fri. Some schools may require 7:15am - 4:30pm.

A Day in the life of a Substitute School Behavior Technician Be on-call to ensure consistent staffing coverage at our partner school districts, to ensure that no student has to miss a day of in-classroom support.

Support a range of students and schools, as day-to-day needs arise.

Use a model of therapy referred to as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a school setting.

Provide behavioral support for students in the classroom (elementary through high school), either generally for the classroom or 1-on-1 with students.

Analyze environmental factors that may be inhibiting the student’s ability to access school curriculum.

Work with teachers and other school professionals to customize the intervention to each student's skills, needs, interests, developmental profile, preferences, and setting.

May receive ongoing training and supervision throughout the treatment period by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or a Masters level ABA Supervisor.

Qualifications: What you bring to the table

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent PLUS completed college courses (60 units) OR an Associates degree. 6+ months of ABA experience. Valid driver’s license, reliable source of transportation, and active auto insurance. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and professionalism, allowing you to work effectively with students, teachers, and others in a school setting.

Preferred Qualifications

ABA experience in a classroom setting Bachelor's degree CPR certification in both pediatrics and adults Experienced and comfortable managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, ranging anywhere from non-compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, self-injurious behaviors, etc. Ability to commit to a minimum of 1 full school year as a School Behavior Technician (SBT) to ensure students can reach their potential Bilingual

Requirements
