Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children by following classroom lesson plans and collaborating with teachers. Ensure adherence to Indiana Child Care Licensing Guidelines and NAEYC standards while supporting children's social-emotional development.
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years old (21 for independent infant/toddler care). Candidates must possess basic communication and computer skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
The Early Learning Center (ELC) Substitute at Pathfinder Early Learning Center is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for enrolled children by following classroom lesson plans. This position collaborates with Teachers and Teacher Assistants to implement individualized and multicultural programming while adhering to Indiana Child Care Licensing Guidelines, the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Standards, and Paths to Quality Regulations.
Follow and implement lesson plans that align with assessment data and developmentally appropriate practices based on NAEYC, FSSA, and Paths to Quality standards.
Assist in assessing children’s development and share findings as needed.
Ensure responsive physical care in alignment with Indiana Child Care Licensing Guidelines.
Provide opportunities for social-emotional skill-building using the Conscious Discipline Curriculum.
Work cooperatively with coworkers to create a positive and predictable learning environment for children, families, and staff.
Maintain adherence to Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations concerning health and safety, classroom environment, positive discipline, and required postings.
Maintain 20 hours of annual training related to Early Childhood Development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements: Preferred
