Provide individual and small group instruction in the Chinese language to supplement classroom learning. Support students by teaching study skills, reviewing course materials, and assessing academic progress.

Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary

Provides individual instruction and coaching to supplement classroom learning.

Primary Responsibilities

Tutor students in the Chinese language

Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.

Teach students study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.

Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.

Provide private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.

Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.

Performs other duties as assigned.
