Monitor and evaluate student progress through data-driven practices Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student goals. Participate in evaluations, team meetings, and multidisciplinary planning. Partner with general education teachers to promote inclusive classroom strategies. Create, implement, and manage compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Completion of a recognized Special Education preparation program. Strong understanding of IDEA guidelines and IEP development. Valid Washington State Special Education Teaching Certification (P–12) or eligibility to obtain. Successful completion of required Washington state certification exams (e.g., WEST-E or equivalent).
