The Assistant Rowing Coach assists the Head Coach in the coordination and execution of the NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing program. Responsibilities include recruiting student-athletes, conducting practice sessions, and ensuring strict adherence to NCAA and university compliance regulations.
Develop skills of student-athletes, assist in preparing practice plans, implement practice plan, review and break down video and data. Organize, prepare, and conduct individual and team practice sessions to train and prepare for competition and instruct student-athletes in techniques of the sport. Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes. Promote a culture supportive to student-athletes post graduate goals. Promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program through strict adherence to NCAA, ACC, and university rules and regulations through monitoring of program activities, active involvement, and commitment to continuous rules education, timely submission of compliance-related documents, and immediate reporting of any knowledge of potential rules violations involving self or others. Interaction with Rowing boosters and booster club members Community outreach with players and other coaches. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
NCAA Division I Rowing coaching experience Strong understanding of athlete conditioning and maintenance Experience with rowing-specific data collection modalities.
