As a Summer Camp Counselor, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for campers. You'll lead activities, build positive relationships, and help make summer memories that last a lifetime. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in daily camp activities Ensure camper safety and follow all camp policies and procedures Build positive relationships with campers, families, and fellow staff Serve as a role model by demonstrating teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasm Assist with setup, cleanup, and general camp operations as needed
Must be at least 18 years old Experience of at least 6 months working with children or in a camp, school, or recreational setting required High school diploma or GED required Strong communication and teamwork skills Energetic, dependable, and positive attitude Ability to spend time outdoors and participate in physical activities CPR/First Aid certification a plus (training may be provided) Compensation Pay: $15 per hour, based on experience Free YMCA membership usable at all area locations Why Work With Us?
