At Oakland International Academy, we are committed to providing every child with a supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning experience. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Michigan standards and students's IEPs.

Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes student learning and growth Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide meaningful feedback.

Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and use assessment data to guide instruction.

Develop, implement, and participate in IEP meetings while ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and development.

Requirements

Required Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with with one or more of the following Special Education endorsements: SA, SB, SC, SE, SK, SL, SM, SP, or SV. Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
