Discovery Kidzone is seeking a Full-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This position begins August 24 and works alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom where preschool-aged children can learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences.
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with young children and is eager to grow in the field of early childhood education. No previous experience is required—we provide training and ongoing support.
Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities Support children's learning through play, art, music, storytelling, movement, and hands-on experiences Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Foster positive relationships and help children develop confidence and independence Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions Assist with classroom organization and preparation of learning materials Observe children's progress and communicate daily updates with families as directed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Follow all health, safety, and state licensing requirements Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide a positive learning experience
Previous childcare or preschool experience is helpful but not required Interest in early childhood education and child development Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, dependable, and positive attitude Ability to create a warm and supportive learning environment CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire Ability to complete all required state licensing trainings
Compensation & Benefits Compensation is based on education and experience.
