Provide a safe and nurturing childcare environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children within a ministry setting. Carry out age-appropriate lessons and follow established teaching and discipline guidelines.
Prior childcare experience is helpful, and a satisfactory background check is required. Candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds and have a heart for children's ministry.
The purpose of this position is to provide safe, quality childcare for our weekday early childhood ministries. This is a flexible position working either Monday and/or Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:45AM during the program year which typically runs September through May. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for providing a safe, nurturing childcare environment for infants, toddlers and preschool age children Provide an environment where children can see, hear and feel Christ’s love in action Carry out age-appropriate lessons that have been prepared in advance Attend meetings and trainings when scheduled by your supervisor Follow teaching, discipline, and childcare guidelines set by Bay Presbyterian Church Required Skills and Abilities: Able to work in a team environment with a willingness to step in where needed The ability to be flexible in an ever-changing environment and to adapt to last minute changes Patience Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience: Prior childcare experience helpful A heart for children’s ministry and a willingness to serve the Lord through childcare ministry Satisfactory background check required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Able to sit on the floor and stand up from the floor Able to speak and read in English
