Unit: Athletics & Recreation
Under the direction of the Redbirds Rugby - Head Coach, the Technical Specialist- Assistant Coach - Redbirds Rugby will be expected to assist the head coach in the implementation of performance and development initiatives that will help ensure the success of the rugby student-athletes and the team. May be expected to assist with various administrative tasks as required. Primary Responsibilities: Maintain and distribute on-field team equipment. Ensure preparation of game and practice equipment for the rugby team. Record activities during a game and keeping track of statistics Ensure analysis of data and identifies trends of game/team/athlete activity/competency during game and post-game and prepares reports to head coach. Support coaching staff in the implementation of practice and game plans Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Knowledge or previous practical experience in the sport of rugby is a strong asset CPR and First Aid certification is desirable Prior coaching experience at an elite/competitive level is an asset Team player, strong organizational skills is highly desirable Bilingual in English and French Selected candidates must successfully pass their criminal background check.
